REI is a leash connector with a carabiner + a D ring on each end, and can be used flexibly as:

CROSS BODY CONFIGURATION for MELLEM or NOMAD*
CONNECTOR for another gear such as to a dog walking belt

WIDE 1" or 2.5cm wide

REI in wide is recommended for the cross body configuration for the NOMAD, only the D ring of the wide style allows the long line to pass through (see gif on this listing).
